COURSE DESCRIPTION: Coverage of lettering, scales, use of drawing instruments, orthographic projection, auxiliary views, section views, pictorials, basic dimensioning, and descriptive geometry. Includes an introduction to computer-aided drafting (CAD) TEXT: Giesecke, FE, Engineering Graphics, 7th Edition SUPPLIES: basic drawing instruments, engineering paper.

Class time will consist of an instructional presentation followed by an in class exercise. The remaining time will be dedicated to working on homework assignments.
GRADING:
There will be three mid-term exams on: Academic improvement during the quarter will be rewarded by replacing one mid-term exam score with the final exam score when it is helpful. Extra credit in the course will consist of a chronological archive of the in class exercises done during the quarter. The complete collection will be worth 10 points and is due at the start of the final exam.
