COURSE DESCRIPTION: Use Visual Basic to learn fundamental programming techniques. Design procedures and write instructions for a computer to solve business problems. Learn procedural programming, develop a graphical user interface in Windows, and work with events and objects.

SCHEDULE NOTE:
There will be no class on:
Monday, May 26 (Memorial Holiday)

CLASSWORK:
There will be four project assignments.
- Project 1 Due April 16
- Project 2 Due May 5
- Project 3 Due May 21
- Project 4 Due June 9

There will be two mid-term exams on:
- May 12 (Covering Tutorials 1-5)
- June 4 (Covering Tutorials 1-8)
A comprehensive final exam on:
- June 11, 7:50pm-10:00pm
(For all exams; bring a Scantron form and disk)


GRADING:
Each exam = 100 points.
Each project assignment = 100 points.
(An assignment may be turned in one session late with a 10 point deduction.
No assignments will be accepted after the one session grace period.)

Academic improvement during the quarter will be rewarded by replacing one mid-term exam or project score with the final exam score when it is helpful.
Grades will be based on the total points earned and distributed using the following criteria:
