Older versions of Web browsers are more reliable for downloading Adobe files. Newer browser versions try to open the file within the browser, and, far too commonly, "freeze" the computer rather than loading the entire Adobe file. This quirk is independent of the browser used. Older versions of web browsers download Adobe files to the computer desktop. You can then open the files in Adobe Reader.
